Problem with Jensen AWM960

We just took delivery of our new coach and we seem to be having a problem with the stereo. It was working when we did our walk through but now we have power to the unit, the display screen is lit, displays AM radio and the time but nothing else seems to work. We can't turn the power off, we can't change inputs, no volume, basically none of the buttons do anything. We are hooked up to AC, have tried unhooking AC and using DC, we experience the same symptoms.
Any help would be much appreciated.

quote "your future ex"? un quote. Anyway its a really nice trailer. Have fun.
She loves it when I call her that, sometimes I refer to her as my first wife, luckily she has a good sense of humor.

RE: Out with the old, in with the new

Thanks folks! We're heading out on the maiden voyage tomorrow. This is our third trailer.
We had a Boler for 7 years, then bought the Cherokee thinking that it would be exactly what we need for years to come. After 2 years we realized the floorplan was not the best for our needs, felt like living in a hallway.
The slide in the Komfort really opens things up and my future ex loves the big bathroom.

RE: Trailer Broken Into

Any idea why they would target your trailer? Were the blinds open? Sounds like it was random, just curious.

RE: I'm going to try a fun thread this time!!!!

Either Black seal rum from Burmuda or Havana Club 7 year with Diet Coke on average temp days....hot days it's Mojito's all the way.
Also like the Gosling's Black Seal, Heineken, Bombay. Coffee and Bailey's in the a.m. DW likes her red wine & mohitos. The boy likes white grape juice and yogurt drinks. Hey dagrouch, if you see a Komfort towed by a white GMC 2500 around the local campsites, stop in for one.

RE: Leveling Bubbles

Best way to level the trailer is to put a level on top of the fridge door. Make your adjustments so that the trailer is level from front to back. Leave the level on the fridge door and open 90 degrees, level from side to side. That's as close to perfect as you can get IMO.
Just curious, to level front to rear first, you have to unhook and use the tounge jack, up or down. Now then after that you say you level side to side. How do you do that with a trailer that is now unhooked? Do you not use blocks under the low side wheels to get it level side to side? If not, how do you do it? Just curious
Good question! I'm making the assumption that the site is relativly level and the stab jacks is all you are using for leveling. If site is not level, I do the side to side first using 2x6's. The point is to use the fridge door as a guide for leveling. Sorry for any confusion.

RE: maxxair vent covers

The Maxxairs are much stronger and durable plastic than the stocks. A decent hail storm will break or crack the stocks and you are left with mess. We put them on for all the other reasons mentioned but it also gives us peace of mind when the TT is at the storage facility.
EDIT: beat me to it jasonlisan!

RE: Bear Question

Make sure you have pepper spray and those little bear bells that you wear so they can hear you coming. You will know there are bears in the area because you will see bear poop. How do you know it's bear poop? It smells like pepper and has little bells in it. :B

RE: Route 2 vs 22 from Lethbridge to Bainff ??

Highway 2 is boring, 22 is better with some mountain views. If you're not in a big hurry, take 22 to Hwy 1, west on 1 to 93, north on 93 to Jasper, 16 east to 40, 40 north to Grande Cache. Hwy 1 to 93 has some great mountain views. 93 to Jasper (Icefields Parkway) is spectacular, you will be taking pictures around every bend and also pass by the Columbia Icefields. Watch for big horn sheep and elk. Lake Louise at the junction of 1 & 93 has places to camp.

RE: max air covers

I installed them becuase they're quite a bit thicker plastic than the factory roof vents. Therefore when my trailer is at the storage yard and there's a hail storm it's much less likely the vents are smasshed and our bed is soaked.

RE: Icefield Pkwy (Rte. 93) from Banff to Jasper

There's campgrounds in Lake Louise and in Jasper. No 'real' campgrounds on the Icefields Parkway (93). Theres a large parking lot at the Columbia Icefields interpretive centre and I believe they will let you stay overnight.

RE: Komfort tank heating

Thank you all for your input. We bought the Komfort and pick it up on Friday. We took took a bath on the trade but knew this was going to happen. Having said that we had a 72 Boler that I paid $600 for and sold for $3800, so the hit we took and the Cherokee offsets the profit on the Boler. If I keep looking at it this way I can sleep easier.
Thanks again, johng17
